Shabby Rose Christmas Tree

All covered in snow and pale pink roses our shabby rose Christmas tree.......

Real trees are so expensive this year so we decide on a  faux snow flocked tree, she will look so pretty next year at the beach cottage....

I used faux roses  and rose garlands i have from around the home and glass baubles, ribbons, crystals and lights from years gone by.......

Christmas Rose this Christmas Morn
Methinks i hear thee softly say
"In Bethlehem a Child was born
Who bled to take my thorn away!"
Hence musing thus through Earthly bowers
Oh,let us look from them to those
Where shines the King~the flower of flowers~
The great~the one true CHRISTMAS ROSE!

~From a Christmas postcard 1884~

Christmas Heart

Winter skies and Christmas Eve is upon us.......' A Merry Christmas to one and all!'
Oh please snow for Christmas

Snowy branches with velvet and gold
Remember Squinting your eyes as a child?

A Christmas Cottage
A Faux Christmas tree makes it a little more friendly for a certain someone's little paws.......

A pair of glass swans with feather headdresses sit at the top for a touch of glamour......
Is it time for Christmas?.........i think so.........

A sweet poem for you my dear readers..........

Good night,dear little dreamers,
May visions fair and bright
Of Santa Claus and Christmas
Bring joy to you this night;
May angels guard your slumbers
Till the dawn of light.

Oh my it is beautiful. I've never seen a faux snowy white tree like that. Did you buy it with all the snow or did you put that on yourself. I love the white and the soft pale pink of the roses. It will look lovely in your cottage by the sea. Merry Christmas to you. ox

i love your tree. I have always wanted a flocked tree, but they are so expensive. I was really quite tempted this year. Then I found faux white tree at the Salvation Army and passed on buy it. I have done a pink and gold tree for years. I am just not brave enough to go white. If one is not in the Christmas spirit, your post surely must meet that challenge, for it is beautiful and inspirational. Noel.

i am smitten!

this is my favoritest tree that i have seen this season!!
fairytale like and magical... and i do remember squinting as a child, being mezmerized byt the soft twinkling lights!

i too, have such an adoration for swans, they are sooo ethereal to me, and of course all things "roses"!

and such kindred spirits are we, not only did i "flock" my tree this year too, i also have a little white, curly fur friend ~ his name is benny!!

i am just going to linger here a bit, in your wonderous world...

Where do you get a flocked tree? I haven't seen any. I would like to get a faux tree next year so I can put it up early. When you do the fresh tree it cannot go up too early as it will be a fire hazard when it dries out. I love the look of a flocked tree. Also, I would like to see what is that clock in the back ground? It looks like a pink version of a Mora clock. Can you tell me about it? Everything looks very dreamy!
