The Rustic Rabbit

Yesterday we visited in my opinion the most beautiful shop in Grassington and i have wanted to ask if i could take pictures to show you for ever, well i finally asked and was granted permission to show you all inside......
It has the most beautiful name The Rustic Rabbit and you often see gentlemen outside waiting for their wives who are in heaven in this pretty shop.....
Lets go inside...i love the staircase and the white washed floorboards,it has the feel of a cosy home rather than a shop and they always play wonderful music too....
Lets go upstairs,do you see anything you like?
A closer look?.......
Oh look Sir Clarence is waiting to show us all the beautiful things upstairs, when he's not busy at the shop or sleeping near the till he writes his own blog you will find his blog underneath the pink delivery van on the right hand side of The Rustic Rabbit......
I did take one of the velvet roses displayed here on the top shelf to the left home with me, it is very beautiful and i also couldn't resist a lavender coloured parasol....
Sweet little coat hangers on the drawers......
Love all the glassware up in the window over looking the market square.....
We both really loved this piece with mirror and hangers.......
Stunning candle holder in the window and a cute rustic rabbit,i adore the cake stand with wire top and little bird......
Back downstairs and more shelves full of gorgeous, pretty things,i have never walked out of this shop without a bag full of prettiness, they really do have the best taste......
This room at the back was fantastic,so much to choose from.....
Do you see the man through the window on the left of the doorway? poor guy still waiting for his wife
Oops! that guy is my Steve!!!...i best go now,

I hope you enjoyed the tour and if you are in the Yorkshire Dales be sure to make the journey to:-

What a gorgeous shop! I would be in heaven in there. Loved EVERYTHING.
Reminds me of a little shop I used to go to most Sundays with my mum and sister called Country Homes. It isn't there any more and I miss it. It sold everything from wicket baskets to candles, jewellery, rugs, mirrors and similar knick knacks.
We may go to the Dales in October so will try to get to Grassington.
Had to laugh when I realised the poor man was your hubby, very amusing!!!!
Lots of love
PS where is your seaside home then, obvs not the Dales!!! x x x

Thanks for your comments over at mine. Never ever found the real Noo Noo so not quite the happy ending yet. Glad I got duplicates and the old smelly one you see was fairly new too.
Wish someone would find the one we lost in Whitstable.
I love the sea. So is your seaside home just one you visit, or one you plan to move into?
I REALLY want to move closer to the sea.
Yeah loads of kids here this week. And my mum is lush, but bless her she can't see it!!!!!! Which in turn makes her even more attractive in my eye.

The Rustic Rabbit. I love it. There is a shop in Haworth--you must know it--that sells vintage lace. Oh how I love that little shop. Did you find any little treasures for your cottage?

TOTALLY understand re your beach house. Have to be careful.
I dream of moving to the Isle of Wight. I love it there.
Ha ha re Steve pointing out he wasn't the balding man in the pic!
That made me chuckle! Very funny!
Have a good week. x x

Like it? I love it! I am from Yorkshire and used to visit Grassington sometimes. It is so pretty there.
I could quite happily live in this shop. I am sure they won't mind. I am only a wee thing.
I went to a shop here on Sunday that is similar to this one, with lots of painted furniture, but this is even nicer. x

I could easily get lost in that shop. I saw an all white madonna statue I would want to buy. Your blog looks so different that I wasn't sure if I was in the right place. I miss your sea view:( ox

Thankyou so much for your kind comment on my blog re my mum. What a wonderful shop & so much stock. I would find plenty to buy there but it is definitely not a shop with man appeal -my husband would definitely wait outside too!

WOW! What a wonderful treasure of a shop.

I've often wondered about putting a shelf halfway along my window and displaying glass. Now I've seen it done, perhaps I will.
