The keys for the beach cottage were in our hands nearly a year ago now and we set to and painted the existing fence cream with blue tops and tidied the garden up just to make things look a little better.....we dreamed one day of a white arch with roses all around and a picket fence with a cute little gate......well last weekend we were at the beach cottage that dream started to become a reality....tonight we will be fixing the picket fence and white washing and measuring for a gate to be made.....you can see my rose propped up at the left side waiting to be planted....
I don't want to bore you all with pictures of inside the house so come on lets go for a walk, mum always says that 'a change is better than a rest'....can you feel the warmth of the sun on your skin? do you need to put your sunglasses on? maybe some sun tan lotion? i will wait for you my dear friends although my legs want to carry me as fast as they can to the sea................
Can you smell the fresh air and hear the gulls calling "the sea,the sea"?..........
What are you thinking as we stand here watching the waves crash on the shore? maybe bills, errands?family troubles? things that can daily pull us down? i hop skip and jump from the beach cottage to this special place every weekend about five or six o'clock in the morning and i look out to sea and i stop my whirlwind city life and i pray,i breathe in,i breathe out,i am thankful for my life,i send prayers and quite messages of hope and love to my sweet family and my dear friends,i blow kisses to loved ones who are no longer with us......
I reconnect with myself and i am reminded of what is important and what really matters in life,i am at peace and ready to start work on the beach cottage....
Where do you reconnect? i would love to know?

Its nice to have a place where you can be thankful and reflective. I think the sea has that effect on lots of people. Being smack bang in the middle of the country my little connecting space is my summerhouse at the bottom of the garden.
I don't have a particular place, would love one like yours of course!
Most late evenings I reflect on the day and the 'morrow, as I watch the wildlife come to eat and drink in the grounds around mine and my neighbours gardens, usually with a cat besides or in my arms.
I would love to have the Sounds of the Sea that you have on your blog, on my 2nd blog, is it possible to do that?
Have a great weekend,
Sandie xx
Oh what lovely and soothing images. Thank you for sharing.
Oh I wish I had a place like yours by the sea to relax & reconnect. It looks so beautiful.

Oh I love the sea, and having grown up by one, always long to go back. I would so love a special place to sit, think and be creative. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful post, big hugs xx
Beautiful
Your view of the sea is like a dream. How lucky you are to have this sea cottage. ox
This is utterly stunning. I have always wanted to live by the sea and know I HAVE to do it before it's too late.
Is this a place you have just at the weekends or a house you live in all the time?
The photos are stunning and the sound of the sea actually sent shivers down my spine. I love the sound of the waves.
Tell me how it is to be by the sea in winter. I need to know whether it is depressing or invigorating as neeeeeeeeeeeed to live by the sea.
I always get so sad whenever we leave a beach.
Where is this beach, it is heavenly.
So thrilled to have come across your blog.
Have a great weekend.....send my love to the waves!
