Cherubs and Kindness..

Good Morning Blogettes,

We have the most wonderful neighbors at the Beach Cottage, many are retired and are living life to the full and they inspire you to live for the moment...

....a lovely lady who i get on very well with called Barbara invited me over to look around her Beach cottage and garden....she has the most beautiful aged stone table and benches with a bowl of sea shells on top in her secluded courtyard...

I am going to ask her if i can snap a picture to show you next summer when her garden is in full bloom,i could see myself sat there enjoying a bottle of wine and chatting with Barbara on a warm summer evening...

in her garden she has ornaments and shells every where and on a lovely aged wrought iron shelf sat these beautiful cherubs holding a shell....i was oohing and ahhhing and Barbara was laughing and insisted i have it as i liked it so much,

I placed a tea light candle inside the shell...isn't it beautiful?

I was really touched by her kindness and as i know she is planting a rose garden i am going to buy her a rose bush as a surprise,

Here are some close ups so you can see how the sea breeze has weathered and aged to shabbily heaven
Click on pics for close ups....oh before i forget Barbara calls the Avenue 'Paradise' don't you love that ?

Update: the seller of the cast iron fire panel is up for courier, fingers crossed!

Until Later x

Oh I am so happy you are back and I can hardly believe that you are now by the sea!!!! I WANT to see pictures of your shabby cottage by the sea. Please please let us see where you are now. I wish so much to be by the sea, but I am happy here in the valley and thankful the sea is not far and that we can go often with our Beach Cottage oN Wheels. ox
