Rule Britt

Hey Blogettes,

We are feeling very patriotic today at ShabbilyEverAfter.

Early this morning Mr Postie knocked on our door and safely delivered Britt to our door, she had travelled over night from Niki's at www.nostalgia-stonehouse.co.uk
I have wished for one of Niki's beautiful dolls for going on two years but as you know they sell very quickly, well yesterday was my chance and Britt was definitely worth the wait!

We made her feel right at home straight away...she relaxed in her chair with plumped cushions and showed us her lovely bloomers and boots,we were very impressed!

She then showed us how she looked in her lovely vintage straw hat!

We then left her to settle in listening to Vera Lynn as she was tired after her long journey.

The picture below is from Niki's shop as i had seen her looking for a new home yesterday.

The quality of Niki's work is excellent and i am over the moon,Thank You Niki x

Goodbye for now Blogettes Love Kristina XxX

Hi Krissie,
What a fab post - thank you so much, you are very kind! I love the photo of Britt flashing her bloomers!
I hope that she will behave herself in her new home...she really loves your taste in music already!
Have a happy weekend - Rule Britannia!

Hi Kristina, what a lovely doll she is. Love her skirt.
I think she is very lucky little lady to have moved into your cosy home.
Have a wonderful weekend my friend.

Oo-er-I am happily wandering through Blogs and click on yours for the first time on a link from another. Suddenly the strains of, "There'll Always be an England" leak out from the laptop to the consternation of OH who is watching the Scotland v Australia rugby ( and lamenting the England loss to the All Blacks...)

And all while I was admiring your pics of Britt whom I last saw as SOLD on Niki's site (not that I could afford her and nor am I a doll collector, but just something so appealing about her - I think it's the union jack skirt). But strangely pleased to track her down in her new home. Time for a G'nT and return to my no-nonsense self LOL!

I can imagine how you must have felt taking that doll from its wrapping. She is gorgeous, and I know something you will treasure forever.

Kristina, it's great to see you back with another post. Please don't leave it so long next time.

Your comment on my latest post was so comforting. Thank you so much. x
